Our story is not a traditional story, but it worked for us

In the year of covid of 2020 when we were all locked inside

We found each other in the most unlikely of places

In a computer game online

Though we had never met we had a connection that broke all barriers transcended a digital world and was very real

Jess took a leap of faith in 2021 when the locked down was lifted and rushed across the border with everything including the kitchen sink in the back of the X-trail. Making it across the border with only hours to spare and people giving her the dirty looks for having those SA plates she arrived in Susan Street to a 1/2 furnished house and a 14-day quarantine

Having never seen commitment and dedication like this before Luke was shocked and surprised but ultimately, he felt he might have a keeper, It didn't take long for us to settle down and find their groove and how to work effectively as a couple

With Luke being supportive calm and able to ground Jess with simple words, and a snuggle or two to make any problem never feel too big or argument ever to loud that couldn't be solved over a cup of coffee and love

From there on we have been inseparable

We have been together through the highest of highs and the lowest of lows such as our first overseas trip together to see the amazing Northern lights, snow and Disney world of course

In September 2024 Luke stepped up to the plate after joking around with Jess about a engagement within 2 and 8 years, He organised a romantic getaway down in the beautiful Denmark to create a picnic of amazing local produce and fish and chips from Peaceful Bays cute little shop from there they sat on the beach at Conspicuous Cliff, where he devoured the entire platter insisting that he was just cold. Finally after there was no more food or liquid courage. He proposed!!!
